On May 5, 2010, the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) and The Obesity Society (TOS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) endorsed HR 5209, Representative Ron Kind's (D-WI) Healthy CHOICES (Communities through Helping to Offer Incentives and Choices to Everyone in Society) Act - comprehensive legislation targeting many of the critical areas surrounding obesity such as prevention, treatment, research, nutrition and wellness, physical activity and our built environment.

We encourage OAC, TOS and ASMBS members to become actively involved in the effort to help Representatives Ron Kind (D-WI) secure House passage of his comprehensive Healthy CHOICES ACT.
