Kevin Montgomery MD, FACS
Dr. Montgomery graduated from Columbia University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He did his surgical residency and a trauma research fellowship at the University of Washington and is board certified, a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, the Council for Advances in Bariatrics as well as the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. He was a busy general laparoscopic surgeon for 10 years at the Everett Clinic until dedicating his practice to weight loss surgery in November 2002.
Alana Chock, MD,FACS
Dr. Chock graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She went on to complete her General Surgery Residency at the University of California, San Diego followed by additional fellowship training in Advanced Laparoscopy at the Texas Endosurgery Institute in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Chock has worked in the field of Minimally Invasive Surgery and given talks on topics within her field both nationally and internationally. She has trained other surgeons and residents in the field of minimally invasive surgery while on faculty at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center and was Director of the University’s Hernia Center. Dr. Chock is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She also is a member and serves on committees for the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. In addition, she is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Robert Michaelson MD, PhD, FACS
Dr. Michaelson completed his Ph.D. in Neuroendocrinology at the University of Illinois in 1991. While a member of the faculty at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he earned his M.D in 1995. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center in 2000, and went on to fellowship training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, at the Texas Endosurgery Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Michaelson has performed over 3000 laparoscopic operations, and has trained over 300 surgeons in advanced laparoscopic techniques in the United States and China. Prior to devoting his practice to helping those suffering from obesity, Dr. Michaelson was on staff at Providence Everett Medical Center where he introduced many advanced laparoscopic operations. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery; Fellow of the American College of Surgeons; member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and Seattle Surgical Society.
